Rohr reacts to Super Eagles 3 Seychelles 0 in AFCON qualifier – Football
Super Eagles Main coach Gernot Rohr responded to Nigeria defeated in Seychelles with a score of 3: 0 at 2019 African Nations Cup (AFCON) on Saturday, September 8, and drew attention to the game of Libya, scheduled for October.
After the defeat 2: 0 Bafana Bafana from South Africa, Super Eagles desperately need a victory to regain their campaign.
The first two washers from Ahmed Musa and Chidozie Awaziem with the second half fine, Odion Igalo gave Nigeria a comfortable victory.
Rohr in the Seychelles won
Head coach Gernot Rohr reacted to the victory through the post on the official website of Super Eagles Instagram Score.
Rohr said in an interview that his players did not underestimate the Seychelles but admitted that his team missed some of the key members.
He said, "With our good attitude and good football, such players as Captain Mikel Obi, Ekon and Ola Aina disappeared, so we had problems in full back position."
Rohr also continued to praise the attitude of players from the World Cup, as well as the aggression of opponents, but lamented the state of the field.
He said, "We had the same spirit that we had at the World Cup, for me it was important to see that we continue in this positive attitude towards the enemy, which is very aggressive.
"It was not easy on this field, but we did it well, and we have three points and preparation for our two matches against Libya."
Rohr on the Super Eagle against Libya
Libya occupies the top position in Group E after losing 0: 0 in South Africa in another AFCON qualifier game.
Super Eagles face a double header against Libya in October, which will go a long way to determine the team that will eventually qualify from the group.
Rohr said in an interview that his team should pick up a minimum of points from two games and said that for a decisive collision a good move is used.
He said, "We are behind only one, and we get so that we need to win this game, two games against Libya, we have to make four points, we must win.
"I do not know where we will play because we need a good pitch, a great playground where we can play our football against the team that today worked well in South Africa for our pilots and technical players I hope we will have its in Nigeria. "
Rohr also praised New additions to the party Samuel Kalou and Semi Ajayi, but argued that some of the experienced players, such as Mikel Ob i, will need to prosecute the game against Libya.
He said, "We need to restore our injured players, and today we found new players, Kalu, who had a very interesting performance, and Ajayi, who played very well as a defender.
"It's interesting that the group is moving forward and is planning new opportunities to replace some of our players."
"Super Eagles" face with Libya in a double header, the first match at home, and the second stage will be missing.
Before the next series of AFCON qualifiers Super Eagles will face Liberia in an internationally friendly scheduled for Tuesday, September 11 in Monrovia.
