Ondo distributes cocoa, cashew seedlings to farmers

On the weekend of the Ondo Government, 450,000 cocoa seedlings and 25,000 cashews of Brasiliam were distributed to farmers in 18 local government districts of the state.
Governor Rotimi Akeredol, who distributed the seedlings at the Federal Agricultural College, Akura, said that this is an economy through agriculture and agribusiness.
The governor said that the state intends to maintain its position as a producer of cocoa in the country number one.
"We have collected a lot of seedlings for the revival of cocoa, and this will soon bring income for farmers and improve the economy of our state.
"Saplings will be distributed to farmers from all 18 local state governments. We are responsible for the modernization of the production of cocoa, because the state of Ondo is a suitable place for growing cocoa.
