No plan to sell Ajaokuta Steel Plant – Osinbajo

ABIJA – VICE President Emi Osinbaggio assured that the federal government does not plan to sell the Ajaokuta steel complex.

This was announced by Governor Jahah Bello of Kogi State after meeting behind closed doors with the Vice President on Thursday at a presidential villa in Abuja.

After the briefing of the State House correspondents after the meeting, Governor Bello said: “First of all, the Vice President, being the Chairman of the National Economic Council, we came to ask him about the proposed sale of the Ayyokuty Steel Complex, and he indicated that there is nothing like that.

“He said the federal government does not plan to sell the Ajaokuta Steel Company. The vice president said that Ajaokuta is an asset to the federal government and that they are studying how best to use this particular complex in the interests of Nigerians as a whole.

"In addition, we are going to crown the new Both Kabbah on Saturday, we have come to notify him as the father of the event that will come on Saturday and seek his blessings."

In his preparation for the general election in 2019, he said that each of them can be cruel, and everyone can fuss over one ticket or the other. I can assure you that we have an able leadership of the party in President Muhammad Bukhari.

“In addition, we have our able chairman, comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole, who does his best to make the party strong, and the party is really very strong.

“With regard to the general elections in the state of Kogi, we are one hundred percent ready, and we are going to sweep the entire state and by the grace of God, we will withdraw the vote, which has never been witnessed in the North Central God's Grace. I can assure you that the election in 2019 for Mr. President will be a walk by the grace of God. ”
