Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini has decided to take off his signature hair which he has been a trademark for him.

Since his move to Everton, Fellaini has been famous for his trademark fluffy hairstyle which has been adopted by Manchester United supporters and some fans of the opposing team also mimicking his haircut.

His hairstyle, however, predates to his time back in the Belgian First Divison with Standard Liege which he carried over to England with Everton in 2008 to the delight of the Goodison Park faithful.

He has rarely changed his traditional look except  once when he decided to change the colour to blonde.

The Manchester United star who is not part with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Bronze medallist the Belgian Red Devils for their UEFA Nations League clash as well a friendly encounter has decided to use the spare time on his hands to change his hairstyle.

He trimmed the traditional afro as he took to his official Instagram account to post a series of pictures of his new look to the surprise of the world.

The new look is supposed to celebrate his birthday on Thursday, November 15, he said, “New year, new look”


Fellaini new hairstyle became a dominant discussion topic on Twitter as Manchester United supporters and opposing fans.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany also reacted to his new look with a message in the comment section of his post.

He said, “It’s photoshopped, it can’t be true!!” with international teammate Napoli forward Dries Mertens also said, ” Noooooo.”

Fellaini is expected to return to action when Manchester United take on Crystal Palace in their next fixture on Saturday, November 24.
