Manny Pacquiao set for talks with Terence Crawford
Boxing promoter Bob Arum has revealed that Manny Pacquiao‘s team is set to hold talks with Terence Crawford this week to finalise a bout.
There have been endless rumours over when the Filipino star will return to the ring, with Ryan Garcia touted as a possible opponent.
However, according to Arum, Pacquiao has his eyes on Crawford and, if they can’t reach an agreement, he will fight Shawn Porter instead.
“Kenny Porter came to our office two weeks ago to talk about a Crawford vs Shawn Porter fight,” Arum told Barbershop Conversations.
“And then out of nowhere the idea of a tremendous site fee, the possibility of doing Pacquiao vs Crawford came up.
“Obviously it’s more money for Terence and Terence would prefer a Pacquiao fight against anybody else.
“We’re going to see what happens, and we’ll know this week whether Pacquiao vs Crawford can actually happen.
“If it doesn’t happen, since Errol Spence clearly doesn’t want to fight Crawford, I think Crawford vs Porter would be a tremendous fight.”
