LaLiga Santander – Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Unhappy with his situation

Barcelona escaped from the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano with a 1-1 draw and a point on Saturday night, but Jordi Alba was more disappointed by off-field issues at the club in his personal situation than with the dropping of points on the pitch.
The full-back’s contract with the Catalans is set to end in 2020, but as of yet there is no sign of a renewal on the table.
“I have no news,” he said.
“I don’t know what the club think of me.
“It’s strange because there’s not much more of my contract left.
“My intentions are to finish my career here.
“We’ll see, I don’t know what their intentions are or when they think it will be convenient to call me.”
Jordi Alba went on to comment on Atletico‘s style of play under Diego Simeone.
“They have players to come out more and attack,” he added.
“But Simeone‘s style is giving them a lot of success so they won’t change.”
The game ended all square and Barcelona are still top of LaLiga Santander.
“We tried to create much more than them,” he said.
“It was not easy to get in.
“We would have liked to win, but the match was a draw and that’s good in the end.”
Next up for Barcelona is a Champions League trip to take on PSV Eindhoven.
