Lai mourns ‘Baba Sala, calls him incomparable thespian –


Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed regretted death of Moses Olayacommonly known as Baba Sala.

Baba Sala died in her Ilesa Hometown in the state of Osun on Sunday evening, October 7, 2018.

In a statement on Monday, October 8, 2018, the minister said that death had deprived the nation of an incomparable terrorist and the colossus of its time.

He described Baba Sala as a blazer, as he and his contemporaries laid the foundation for the theater and comedy that stormed the creative industry of Nigeria.

“The sacrifices, contribution and commitment of Baba Sala have played a big role in creating the industry, which is now a huge employer of labor and a significant contribution to the country's economy. Through it all, he lived in honor and service, which qualified him as a great model to follow. ” Said Mohammed.

The minister expressed his condolences to the family of the late leading comedian and prayed that God would give him peace, as well as give his family steadfastness to bear an irreparable loss.
