How Leicester City’s Ndidi, Iheanacho played against Arsenal – Football

Under the bright lights of the Emirates Stadium on Monday, October 22, Arsenal took place Leicester city at Premier League clash with three Super Eagles stars in the starting XI.

Alex Iwobi was on the machine gun start XI for the game and lined up against his compatriot and friends Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho,

It was Iwobi, who came out on top, hitting the “Man for the Match” award, since Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners.

Second half bracket from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyan gave Arsenal a victory after they returned from their goal.

Until the second half of Arsenal at Leicester City, Claude PuelTactical rage confused alarm gunners.

With Ndidi and Nampalys mendy at the base of midfield three, when they did not possess the ball, and the midfielder five, being in possession, Leicester City made Arsenal very uncomfortable in the first 30 minutes.

Ndidi was very important for the Leicester City plan at an early stage of the game, intercepted the ball from midfield and immediately found a direct teammate.

Leicester City has caused a lot of problems with this tactic. Within two minutes after the game, Ndidi caught the defense of Arsenal, having missed the transfer to Iheanacho, who managed to free up space in the penalty area, but his efforts were blocked Rob Holding,

Ndidi, along with Mendy in the midfield, provided ample supply of protection to protect the city of Leicester, as Arsenal struggled to break its visitors.

The Nigerian midfielder pursued everything in the center, as Leicester City is a restless Arsenal. He also felt a presence in the attack. During the test in the air with the holding, he put pressure on the Arsenal defender to touch the ball with his hand in the box.

The judge, however, did not demand punishment. This would be a huge turning point in the game, since the Holding, which was on the yellow card, would be sent at the next booking.

At the 30th minute, the Leicester City team and quick attack tactics worked, as Ndidi quickly climbed up Ben chilwell whose shot is deflected Hector Bellerin to give foxes an advantage.

No sense of danger

Tap Ndidi was in his fight, which helped the growth of his reputation as one of the best defenders of midfielders in the Premier League.

But he is often haunted by a keen sense of danger, especially in the field of midfield. It cost him and his teammate in Leicester City, since he was nowhere to be when Granit xhaka cut the midfielder Foxes to Ozil, who drifted in space, before finding a place in the box to finish the segment from Bellerin.

In the second half, Ndidi again began actively and almost put Leicester City in the lead in the 57th minute after he drove out Arsenal goalkeeper Leno from the corner, but his shot hit the crossbar.

Arsenal regained momentum after two replacements, and Ndidi was again caught when Ozil played a sharp pass to Bellerin, whose cross was transformed by Aubameyyan.

A closer look at the Ozil pass, he should be worried about how Nedidi was out of reach before the Arsenal controversy. A defensive midfielder of his caliber should snatch Arsenal No. 10 and make him very uncomfortable. Ndidi did not do this, and Ozil had enough time to choose his pass.

For the third Arsenal, Ndidi was again found. When he ran to the goal in Leicester City, he was very close to Ozila when the man of the Arsenal dummy ball, before taking a place to get a pass from Alexander Lacazette,

But he stopped running and watched as Ozil continued to do damage leading to the night of Abubayan’s night.

Ndidi has made obvious progress since its move to Leicester City in January 2017 and remains one of its most consistent players. Indeed, his overall game has always been impressive, but tiny details like these moments continue to fail him.

Iheanacho doesn't light

For Iheanacho, despite the dismay of Arsenal’s defense in the first few minutes, he was unable to sparkle against Arsenal.

He was unlucky with his efforts in the Arsenal box, which deviated from the Holding and made Leno save with the help of curling at the initial stages of the game.

After a good start, Iheanacho didn't bother Arsenal so much before he was shot in the 61st minute.
