FIFA U-20 World Cup: Lunin’s Ukraine win the U-20 World Cup
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has been crowned a world champion as Ukraine beat South Korea to win the Under-20 World Cup on Saturday.
Vladislav Supriaha was in the right place at the right time to capitalise on two bouncing balls around the Korean goal to score twice after Kang-in Lee, who got four assists and two goals in the competition, had put the Asian representatives a goal ahead from the penalty spot just five minutes in.
Valencia playmaker Kang-in Lee‘s strike proved not to be enough, despite him leaving Lunin hopeless with his effort from 12 yards.
Lunin did have to be alert in the 70th minute to deny Ji Lee after Kang-in Lee picked him out from a corner, ensuring he did enough to finish the tournament as the winner of the Golden Glove.
Heorhiy Tsitaishvili popped up in the 89th minute to kill the game off with Ukraine‘s third.
