Export in Q4 2017 stood at N3.7bn – NSC

In the fourth quarter of 2017, exports of locally produced goods amounted to $ 3.7 billion. USA, Executive Secretary of the Council of Nigerian Shippers (NSC), Barr. Hassan Bello, said.

Barr. Bello said that this figure was obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) in his recent analysis.

The NSC boss made it famous at the first anniversary lecture and honors organized by the Lightlight concept in Lagos.

Barr. Bello, who spoke on the topic: "The role of economic port regulators in facilitating the trade of experts in Nigeria," says that export trade recorded a zero deviation in the same year, despite the increase in trade.

Introduced at the event by the Director of Special Responsibilities, Mr. Ignatiy Nveke Bello also noted that the registered value of the fourth quarter of 2017 increased by 9.35 percent compared to the third quarter of the same year and by 31.27 percent more than during the same period in Last year.

He stressed that truck operators are involved in poor road conditions to increase their costs, saying that the council promised to return to the previous charge when the roads were installed.

"Every time you meet this, the truck operator will always tell you that he has not increased, because he wanted to increase.

"First, he will tell you that the roads are bad, and I will tell you that if you fix the roads, it will reduce the cost, but the meetings continued to see that we have a reasonable price," he concluded.
