Dangote companies among worst performers as NSE dips – Business

During the four-day trading session last week, Dangote companies turned out to be one of the most successful, as the All-Share index and NSE market capitalization depreciated by 0.06% before the week's close at the level of 41,218.72 and N14.931 trillion

Similarly, all other indices ended lower, with the exception of NSE Premium, NSE Banking, NSE Industrial and NSE Pension indices, which rose by 0.12%, 1.56%, 1.06% and 0.21%, respectively, while time as NSE ASeM closed.

Shares of Dangote led to the fact that Flour Mills lost N2.60 to Kobo when changing 18.57% in a week, and Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc lost N2.40 to Kobo by 11.21%.

Others were Eternal Plc, Prestige Assurance Company Plc, Regency Alliance Plc Insurance, Oando Plc, Chams Plc, Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc, Wapic Insurance Plc and Niger Insurance Plc.

Meanwhile, the total turnover of 1.331 billion shares in the amount of 20.835 billion US dollars in 18,695 transactions was bargained by investors at the stock exchange last week, as opposed to 1.825 billion shares in the amount of N24.653 billion previous week in 23,148 transactions,

The financial services industry (measured by volume) led a chart of activities with 1,042 billion Shares in the amount of N 11.275 billion traded in 9,665 transactions; which amounted to 78.32% and 54.11% of the total turnover and value, respectively.

The consumer goods industry also has 84.124 million shares worth N4.322 billion in a 3,691 deal.

The oil and gas industry ranked third with a turnover of 51.918 million Shares in the amount of N596.463 million. In 2,307 transactions.

Trading on the three leading funds, namely: United Bank for Africa Plc, Mutual Benefits Assurance Plc and Access Bank Plc (measured by volume) totaled 457.930 million shares worth 3.784 billion dollars. United States in 1,469 transactions, accounting for 34.41% and 18.16% of the total turnover and value, respectively.
