Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has stated that his sides 1-1 draw with rivals Liverpool on Saturday, November 3 is a fair result.
Arsenal 1 Liverpool 1
The Gunners had to come back at the Emirates Stadium to snatch a draw and maintain their 13 games unbeaten run this season.
After a goalless first half James Milner gave Liverpool the lead in the 61st minute before Alexandre Lacazette equalised for the Gunners in the 82nd minute from an Iwobi assist.
Speaking after the game at home to BT Sports, Iwobi said that the game was tough and avoiding defeat at home against a rival was important.
He said, “It was a difficult game with both attacking teams and I guess the fair result was the draw.
“We are giving extra intensity and you can see the manager demands a lot not just in games but on the training pitch and it is paying off.”
Iwobi also took to his official Instagram account to post a video of his assist for the goalscorer along with a message which said, “Passion !! Wanted More But We’ll Settle For The Point … Happy To Help Assist My Bro @lacazettealex.”
Alex Iwobi on fruit juice
Arsenal new boss Unai Emery has banned the players from fruit juice but Iwobi insisted in the interview that he is not that strict.
He said, “People say juice is banned but we do get it in the mornings so he is not too strict! It is not just the nutrition it is the attention to detail and tactics and you can see we are enjoying it.”
Iwobi is expected to return to action when Arsenal take on Sporting CP in their Europa League fixture scheduled for Thursday, November 8.
