Davido is currently in the United States on tour and was a guest at The Breakfast Show with Charlamagne Thagod, where he talked about his career, growth and father.
It seemed that the excited Davido spilled a lot in his conversation with the OAP and discovered many things that the Nigerians did not know about back. This made us think about why politicians are more comfortable with foreign press, which is the topic for another day.
However, here are five things that Davido told the OAU during his chat, which you all need to know about.
1. Growth in the United States and Nigeria
David began to talk about how he was born Atlanta, The United States and returned home to Nigeria at a very young age. According to David, he received Oakwood College at Alabama which he remained only about a year. Being a shy child, he could not share with his father, his love of music. According to him, he came very close to his father, losing his mother at a young age.
2. How did he get into music
According to David, when he was still in the United States, he used to pick up at the airport, arrange for them women in strip clubs and get their cool things. Then he met with some Jamaicans which really inspired him. He went on to talk about how he sold fake decorations at home. As a producer, he produced other artists, until he jumped on one of the songs, and he became great.
3. Initial disapproval of his father in his music
Finally, we learned that his father initially did not want to hear anything about his musical career. According to him, the father at some point sent more than 50 police officers to arrest his road manager, and then a friend just before the start of his show. After the fighting, he came to a compromise with his father to return to school in Nigeria, and his father helped create his studio and sponsor two music videos.
Finally, we learned how he got acquainted with Cioma. He also told OAP that she was in his last video (we all already know that). According to Davido, Cioma is a friend of the college. He also talked about his two daughters I did and Haley which are both based in the United States, with the exception of the Imad who stormed between Nigeria and the States.
During communication with DJ Envy and Charlamagnethagod, Davido showed the OAPs that he would have a concert in New York, and also told about the sold out concerts in Boston a couple of nights. So, you all know, he's going to hold a sold-out concert at the O2 Arena in London.
For David, it was an offer to sell Nigeria to the world, as he told the CIA to visit at the Juuleti, as he will be holding his concert in the show.
