It is reported that about three soldiers were killed by unknown militants during an operation in the area of local government of the state Barikin Ladi State of the Plateau.
Soldiers before their death were tied to Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) – a task force on security, burdened with responsibility for the restoration and maintenance of peace in the state.
The commander, the operational safe (OPSH), Major-General Augustin Agundu confirmed the murder of journalists at the headquarters of the team after an emergency meeting with stakeholders on Saturday.
However, Major-General Agundu did not specifically mention the names of the killed soldiers and the area where they were killed.
The commander categorically said that the situation on the Plateau is becoming more dangerous than expected, since the unfortunate incident in June this year, making every effort to understand, but the situation is getting out of control.
"I lost three people. They were killed as a result of violence, which again surfaced. Worst of all, this is the spread of weapons to the plateau, which is the largest. There is no country where you used crime to fight crime, "he said.
