LaLiga Santander Will play his 50th game with the Catalan club
On Sunday, against Villarreal, Nelson Semedo will play his 50th game for Barcelona, a match that will cost his team 5,094,965 euros.
Semedo‘s contract between Barcelona and Benfica specified that, for every 50 matches played, the Portuguese club will receive such an amount.
“It’s reported that additional values are expected and dependent on the concretisation of objectives related to the performance of the player,” Benfica explained to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission.
“These values correspond to an amount of 5,094,965 euros for every 50 official matches disputed by the player with Barcelona.”
With 49 matches under his belt, Barcelona are preparing for another payout.
